Why this role exists
AI is now inside almost every company, and most of those companies have no idea what their people are feeding into it. The average breach costs 4 million dollars. HIPAA and GDPR penalties stack on top of that. We built a platform that sits at the point of interaction and stops sensitive data before it ever reaches the model. It is browser native, deploys in under two hours, and it is ready today. What we need now is someone who can put it in front of the buyers who already feel this problem.
Who you are
You are a full-cycle seller who does not wait for leads to be handed to you. You already know CISOs, IT Directors, and security and compliance leaders, and you can get a meeting because they trust you. You have sold cybersecurity, data protection, or SaaS before, you have carried a number, and you have beaten it. You are comfortable in the early-stage ambiguity of building something from the ground floor.
How the engagement works
You come on as a 1099 contractor, commission based only. That is the proving ground, and the commission structure is built to reward people who close. Once you have shown real results and a track record, the role is designed to convert into a permanent full-time founding team position with salary and startup equity. What you'll do
- Drive revenue through full-cycle software sales, from self-sourced pipeline through close
- Generate your own pipeline without reliance on SDR, sales engineering, or marketing support
- Manage your accounts and build lasting relationships with enterprise clients
- Understand customer needs and sell consultatively to security and compliance buyers
- Run the discovery and business conversation with CISO, IT Director, and Security and Compliance Manager buyers
- Work directly with the founder on strategy and complex deals
What you need
- Strong full-cycle sales experience, from prospecting through close, with no reliance on SDR, sales engineering, or marketing support
- Existing relationships at the CISO, IT Director, or Security and Compliance Manager level
- Background selling cybersecurity, data protection, or software-as-a-service solutions
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly
- Comfort operating in a commission-only structure during the contractor phase
- Ability to work independently and self-source pipeline in an early-stage environment
Nice to have
- Experience selling into regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, legal, or engineering
- Familiarity with data loss prevention, compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI), or AI governance
- Early-stage or founding-team sales experience
- Existing book of business or active buyer relationships you can open quickly
